I've personally got to the final dungeon with my party at the level Mizuti starts at (so did the trio at a slightly lower than typical level). The other thing nobody knows about Baten Kaitos is you can turn off the damage summary screen in the options (so just get the numbers instead, makes combat flow a lot better although it can be useful to know if the items you are using are making a difference especially with how the defence works for elements). I never see anyone advise that though Then again whole item mixing stuff was vaguely hinted in-game and you had to do the mix then the item would be a drop at the end of the battle. But they have better items? Well a very useful item for that fight (and the rest of the game) is one you can mix, the Sacred Wine (by mixing Holy Grail + Japanese Rice Wine, former comes with Mizuti) which heals 500HP AND revives if target is KOd (that removes a lot of pressure).Īlso enemies drop stuff including an okay sword for Kalas. (the end of the second part where they die to a normal encounter afterwards is hilarious as it is tragic).
